KitKat is ditching plastic for paper!

More companies across the world are recognizing the need to become more conscience and sustainable with the waste that is produced by their packaging. Nestlé has announced that they will create a research institute that will accelerate their sustainability agenda. They have committed to making 100% of its packaging recyclable or reusable by 2025.

The first step they took was to introduce Japan – which is the worlds largest consumer of KitKat bars – to a sustainable paper based package that can be made into an origami paper crane. Not only will this packaging be sustainable and recyclable but also encourages the consumers to keep this unique piece with them instead of recycling it. See more here:
